אשמדאי (English: Ashmedai) is a Soundcloud-only Ambient project by American singer-songwriter Hayden Silas Anhedönia (aka Ethel Cain). The name is taken from Ashmedai, also known as Asmodeus, who is biblically considered the king of all demons, and is often associated with the sin of lust. Hayden has this name tattooed to her forehead, alongside Gabriel (גַבְרִיאֵל), in Hebrew.
