Maasa Miyoshi is a contemporary classical and media composer born in 1990 in Kyoto. She studied composition at Tokyo University of the Arts and its graduate school. According to an interview, she was absorbed in Mahler's music when she was in high school and "loves end of XIXth century music, when it is overripe and on the verge of decay."
