Masashi Hamauzu (濱渦正志), born September 20, 1971 in Munich, Germany, is a Japanese composer for concerts and different forms of media who has worked for video game publisher Square Enix for nearly a decade. Hamauzu's style is a unique blend of impressionnism, jazz and 20th century classical music, often incorporating complex chord extensions, exotic modes and electronic elements.
