Avey Tare and KrĂa Brekkan are Avey Tare (a.k.a. David Portner) of Animal Collective and KristĂn Anna ValtĂ˝sdĂłttir, formerly of MĂşm. The two began recording together in 2007 in New York City. KristĂn also made a guest appearance on the Animal Collective album Feels, for which she was credited as Doctess. The couple lived together in New York City and performed a handful of intimate acoustic concerts in promotion of their only album Pullhair Rubeye.
