Formed in Bergerac, Dordogne, France in 1993. Despite popular belief, Belkètre, Zelda and Chapel of Ghouls were never intended as the evolution of a long standing entity but rather as a three completely different bands. Their lyrics focus on themes like despair, disgust and hatred. Belketre belonged to "The Black Legions" (Les Légions Noires) along with Mütiilation, Torgeist, Vlad Tepes and Brenoritvrezorkre.
