Black Letters is a four-piece alternative rock band from Cochin, formed in 2008. The current line-up consists of Sharath Iyer (vocals, guitars), Akash Chacko (drums), Sarang Menon (guitars) and Arjun Radhakrishnan (bass). The band, initially called Rome and then Surfacing, finally settled on an alternative sound sometime in 2010 and rechristened itself Black Letters.
