Charles Allan Rich (December 14, 1932 – July 25, 1995) was an American country singer whose musical style incorporated elements of rockabilly, jazz, blues, soul, and gospel. Later in his career, Rich was nicknamed the Silver Fox. He is best known for the 1973 hits "Behind Closed Doors" and "The Most Beautiful Girl," both of which reached number one on the U.S. country singles charts and the Billboard Hot 100.
