Chixdiggit! are a Canadian pop punk band formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 1991 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist K.J. Jansen, lead guitarist Mark O'Flaherty, and bassist Mike Eggermont. In 1990, Jansen, O'Flaherty, and Eggermont decided to sell t-shirts with the word Chixdiggit—a sensational spelling of the phrase “chicks dig it,”—on it, designed in cheesy metal fonts. Sales of the shirts provided the band with enough money to purchase a drum kit, but none of the members had any musical experience at the time. Read more on Last.fm
