Die Suurbiers is a german fun punk band founded in 1981 in Berlin by the three friends Michael Wahler, Hans Runge and Thomas Mindach. In the beginning time the band was called Frau Suurbier. In 1985 they changed their name into Die Suurbiers. Like The Ramones, Die Suurbiers should look like a family clan. So the three called themselves Cäpt'n Suurbier (Michael Wahler, guitar/lead vocals), Hans Suurbier (Hans Runge, bass/background vocals) and Tom Suurbier (Thomas Mindach, drums/background vocals).
