djamal allam was born in bejaya Algeria ,he attended a music school refered to as "conservatoire 'under the master sadek elbedjaoui, he studied percussion and went later on to study guitar . he started his career as a french singer in Paris with hits like"Alger ma blanche je te salue". later on he became famous with a hit in kabyle "Mara dioughal ' and few others.
