Ellicott Hooligan is the Western North Carolina based project of David Portner (aka Avey Tare), Michael Powers, and Shane McCord. The trio utilizes improvisation, experimentation, and acoustic instrumentation. Part trance inducing sonic exploration, part emotional release; Ellicott Hooligan occupies a space somewhere between wholeness and nothingness.
