Grand Island is an alternative rock band from Norway. Their music can best be described as soaring and joyous, incorporating aspects of bluegrass, soul, gospel, disco, hardcore and classic rock. Grand Island was also a Boston based "post-punk" band that featured John Manson (who used to play drums in Neptune and now plays with Magic People) and put out an album called "Songs for Rubella" on Super 8 Records.
