Halit Kakınç (born April 30, 1952, Ankara) is a Turkish academic, journalist, investigative author, musician, and folk music artist. Between 1970 and 1975, he was a member of the music group Dönüşüm, recording nine 7" records in the Anatolian folk style. Kakınç represented Turkey three times in the USSR, Romania, and Bulgaria. He began his journalism career in 1974 and worked in various newspapers as News Director, Editorial Manager, Head of the Economy Department, Magazine Director, Editor-in-Chief, and columnist.
