Daryl Hall and John Oates, known collectively as Hall & Oates, was an American musical duo formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1970. Daryl Hall generally served as the lead vocalist, while John Oates primarily contributed guitar and backing vocals. They wrote the majority of their material, either individually or as a team.
