There are multiple artists named Hamartia: 1) Hamartia were a metalcore band from Connecticut, USA. Hamartia were formed by guitarists Jeff and Jay in January of 2000. The two teamed up with close friend and bassist Brad Amorosino and were joined by drummer Mark Castillo, formerly of Massachusetts-based band Piecemeal. Complimented by vocalist Vin Tiu, who had formerly worked with the guitarists, Hamartia immediately set to work on a host of new songs, utilizing the various elements of metal and hardcore to create their sound.
