Visual artist Sydney Vermont and her man Dan Bejar (Destroyer, Swan Lake, New Pornographers) formed Hello, Blue Roses in Vancouver in 2005. Sydney writes the songs & Dan arranges them. Song ideas were knocked back and forth over a period of 2 years.
