Ichiro Toba (鳥羽一郎, real name Yoshihira Kimura/木村嘉平) is an enka singer born 25 April 1952 in Toba, Mie, Japan. Toba debuted in August 1982 with the single “兄弟船" (kyōdai -bune, brother boats), produced by his mentor Toru Funamura. The song reached no. 66 in the year-end charts and led to his NHK Kohaku Uta‑gassen debut in 1985, kicking off roughly 20 appearances in total.
