Illegal 2001 was founded 1991 in Schleswig-Holstein/Germany. In 1993 they released their debut album "Skandal". The album was produced by the band itself. Briefly on it the band got a contract. The band became popular very fast and in the same year they got an ECHO from the German phono academy as best newcomer band.
