Ismail YK (born 5th July 1978 in Hamm, as İsmail Yurtseven) is a German-Turkish singer. The YK stands for Yurtseven Kardeşler (siblings who love the fatherland), referring to him and his siblings. Gathering the techno-culture elements of Turkish immigrants, YK formed his own music. Arabesk, rap and techno can be considered as main noticable elements of YK's sound.
