JEZ_EBEL is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her name is an homage to Phoenician princess Jezebel, a biblical figure who is in a religious context often characterized as a symbol of sin and moral transgression. She first started releasing music in 2017. Being an introverted teenager at the time, her aim was to utilize music as a creative outlet to express her previously neglected emotions and to rebel against her environment, as growing up in a religious household led to struggles with her femininity and sexuality.
