Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter is an American band led by Seattle-based singer-songwriter Jesse Sykes. The core of the band is the musical partnership between Sykes and guitarist Phil Wandscher (late of Whiskeytown) that began in Seattle, Washington, in 2001. Sykes belonged to the band, Hominy, along with her former husband Jim Sykes, who played guitar. The band released a self-titled album in 1998 on the Ivy label. In 2002 Sykes and Wandsche christened their "collective" Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter. Read more on Last.fm
