John Engels (Groningen, May 13th 1935 - present) is a wall known Dutch jazz drummer. Besides being a member of The Diamond Five, Louis van Dijk Trio and Boy Edgar jazz groups, he also performed with Pia Beck, Kid Dynamite, Stan Getz, Clifford Brown, Ben Webster, Chet Baker, Cab Kaye, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Griffin, Phil Woods, Tommy Flanagan, Hank Jones, Sonny Stitt and Wynton Marsalis.
