Kostia, birth name Konstantin Efirmov, is a New Age pianist and composer born in St. Petersburg, Russia. A gift from his parents, a 1937 Wolkenhauer upright piano, sparked his interest in music. He is formally trained in the Rimsky/Korsakov Conservatory. After completing his training he performed in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia before moving to the United States in the late 1980's.
