Charo Bogarín, known artistically as "La Charo", is an artist dedicated to researching the musical folklore of her homeland. Founder of the duo Tonolec, she is also currently working as a soloist. She was born on 24 September 1972 in Clorinda, province of Formosa, Argentina. She is the great-great-granddaughter of the Guarani chief Guayraré.
