EvilMarkII and Ellis met in the '90s while performing in separate acts on the London club circuit. In late 2002 they started working together on a tech-house project and over the next year it took shape as Loft 55. Releases so far include two 12 inch singles "1-800-Gigilo"/"Psychopath" and "Butterfly Lips"/"Porn School" (Modern Electronic Soul Records) that were very well received, and found their way into DJ sets by Terry Francis, Mr C, Robert Sanchez and LTJ Bukem.
