Myriam Montemayor Cruz, better known as Myriam (born February 8, 1981, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico) is a Mexican recording artist, who rose to fame by winning the first generation of La Academia. She is the seventh child out of eight. Her career began with the musical groups: Obsesión, Conspiración, Ébano, Liberación and Compass. But her dream didn't come true until 2002.
