Paulo Bragança marked the beginning of new generation of fado singers, which blend the traditional roots of fado with new influences and interpretative style. A distinctive feature is his stage appearance, bare-footed and wearing exquisite costumes, that contrasts with a more formal stage appearance of fado male-singers.
