Plead the Widow's Cause is an American indie spirit filled heavy metal and post hardcore band from Southern New Jersey. The band was formed in 2022. Their name is derived of the Bible passage Isaiah 1:16-17, "Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." On February 18, 2022, Plead the Widow's Cause released their independent debut studio album, Pain Split.
