Primitive Man is a blackened sludge metal/doom metal band formed in February 2012 and features Ben Kennedy on Drums, Ethan Lee McCarthy on vocals and guitar (Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire, Death of Self) and Jonathan Campos on bass (Reproacher). Their debut full length Scorn was released in 2013, followed by Caustic in 2017 and Immersion in 2020. In 2022 they released Insurmountable, followed by Suffocating Hallucination in 2023.
