Pure Hiss is a new socially conscious female/queer hardcore band from Detroit. The four-piece carries a spastic sound with visceral breakdowns, intelligent song structures, and earth-shattering vocals, while pushing boundaries and voicing topics that need to be heard. Mixing the rawness of punk and the finesse of power-violence, Pure Hiss’ influences are as diverse as the members’ musical backgrounds, spending time in bands as varied as Sender Receiver, Dead Church, Build and Destroy, and Undesirable People among others.
