railcars is aria jalali; his project was formed when asked to support handsome furs briefly on tour in 2007. his first release came in 2008 as an EP consisting of five pop songs titled, "Cities Vs. Submarines", which was recorded/produced by xiu xiu's jamie stewart. In 2009, the release was followed up by a self-produced, experimentally-recorded concept EP: "Cathedral With No Eyes" While his recorded pop songs are just him, his live show incorporates various rotating members, and often includes live visuals.
