In 2017, Logan Thompson initiated an unnamed project that was first featured on a sampler by The Bearded Dragon Productions on February 3, 2017. The track "Anno Domini [Instrumental]" was included in the sampler titled "The Bearded Dragon's Sampler: 3rd Times a Charm". A week later, the project, now known as Symphony of Heaven, released its second single "Stratagem", accompanied by a lyric video. The name Symphony of Heaven was inspired by Romans 8:28.
