Sigur R贸s is an Icelandic聽post-rock band. The name is derived from the name of lead vocalist J贸nsi Birgisson's little sister, Sigurr贸s. They hail from the same creative and vibrant Icelandic music scene as m煤m and Amiina. They released their first-ever foray into film-making with their tour documentary, Heima in late 2007. J贸n 脼贸r Birgisson (J贸nsi), Georg H贸lm, and 脕g煤st 脝var Gunnarsson formed the group in Reykjav铆k, Iceland in August 1994. Read more on Last.fm
