The Hives is a rock band from Fagersta, Sweden, formed in 1993. They gained recognition in their home country during the 1990s and achieved international success in the early 2000s as part of the garage rock revival movement. The band's original lineup included vocalist Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Nicholaus Arson, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Vigilante Carlstroem, bassist Dr. Matt Destruction, and drummer Chris Dangerous.
