Upon listening to The New Governors' new album I am struck by their accuracy when they decribe their sound as 'songs without the fear of genre boundaries'; try as I might, I cannot place them into a specific category. This is almost disconcerting. there is something familiar yet foreign about listening tot heir music, although I was pre-warned - their website speaks of the ability to 'confuse' people with their sound. Michael Ricketts' voice has that Noel Gallagher tuneful yet accented voice - not as Northern though of course. Read more on Last.fm
