Toy Bastard is the solo project of Seattle-based musician and COFGOD and Car Seat Headrest guitarist/vocalist Ethan Ives, acting as the successor to his original solo work under his own name. So far he has released two albums, 2020's Life For Cowards and 2024's The War, along with many of his leftover tracks from The War becoming part of Car Seat Headrest's 2025 album The Scholars (the original Toy Bastard demos can be found on Scholars: Early Hack).
