ZabĂ© da Loca is a brazilian fife player from Monteiro, State of ParaĂba. Isabel Marques da Silva, or simply ZabĂ©, was born in 1924 in BuĂque, a small town in the sertĂŁo of Pernambuco, another state in the northeast of Brazil, When ZabĂ© was still young she moved to Monteiro, where she lived in a small cave (denominated regionally as "loca") for twenty five years with her two sons.
