The Machine In The Garden is a gothic/darkwave duo formed in the early 1990s, featuring Summer Bowman and Roger Fracé. They are based in Austin, Texas. They have so far released 1 EP (1994: Veils and Shadows) and 6 albums (1997: Underworld; 1999: One Winter's Night...; 2000: Out of the Mists; 2002: Asphodel; 2005: Shadow Puppets; 2007: XV). The band features Summer's ethereal vocals over dark electronic and guitar music. The band's name refers to the subtle tension between the organic and electronic elements present in their music.
